This FDR Dies - Hero of WW2 - Historic Newspaper is an original reprint of 4-12-1945, covering the death of the 32nd U.S. President, Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
The FDR Dies - Hero of WW2 - Historic Newspaper is on a central figure in the world during the mid-20th century and the only American president who was elected to more than two terms. He led the U.S. in a time of worldwide economic crisis and Word War II. At the depths of the Great Depression FDR launched the New Deal. His combination of optimism and activism revived the national spirit. Additionally, FDR secured a declaration of war against Japan after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on 12-7-1941, calling it a "date which will live in infamy". He supervised the mobilization of the US economy supporting the Allied war effort, and worked closely with Churchill and Stalin against the Axis Powers in World War II. Unfortunately, he died just as victory was in sight.
The FDR Dies - Hero of WW2 - Historic Newspaper is a great gift for any American History buff!
