Return Policy

At we pride ourselves on a high standard of customer service and we will always do our best to ensure that you are happy with your purchase.

Our return and refund policy is as follows:

  • We guarantee that newspapers, magazines and other items noted as original are indeed authentic. Since they are authentic, they may sometimes contain mailing labels and stamps (for newspapers collected from libraries, for example) and due to the nature of these unique products the labels/markings are considered an integral part of the item as it is sold. Depending on the age of the paper, each item may exhibit signs of normal aging—wear and tear and/or yellowing. We will usually note in advance if the paper has some deficiency beyond normal aging.  
  • We do not accept returns or provide refunds for any product, including original papers, which were ordered in error, for the wrong date, or where the customer provided the incorrect personalization details. Newspapers, regardless of their age, are by nature very fragile, prone to tear and damage when handling. They are stored in climate controlled archives, and reintroducing them to the archive after having been removed, shipped to a customer, shipped back to the archive, and then returned to be stored in the archive, inevitably damages the papers rendering them unsaleable. This process can also cause damage to existing papers in the archive. Therefore, we are unable to accept returns. 
  • We also do not accept returns for original newspapers that arrived within the shipping timeframe posted on our site even if after the date for which the customer desired to receive it.
  • We do not accept returns or provide refunds on personalized products. This includes all newspaper products, (reprints and originals), which were bound in a book or ordered with the personalized presentation case. Personalized products include all custom created and custom printed items -- including calendars, maps, canvases and map puzzles, etc. -- even if there was no specific personalization requested. For example, all bound newspaper products, even without personalization on the cover or within the book are treated as personalized products as they are custom printed per order. 
  • Non-personalized items, excluding original newspapers, can be returned if they are not as described on our site. In such a case, please contact us via email, attaching an image and describing the issue for our review. As noted above, all custom created and custom printed items are considered as personalized products which are not refundable. 
  • If you received an item that is damaged or not as described, please contact us so that we can properly review the issue.
  • Subject to the information above, any returns that AnyDate has agreed to accept should be mailed back within 5 days of receiving the item. Note that shipping costs are not refundable, and return shipping is at the customer’s expense.
