It’s a new decade! With the arrival of 2020, there’s no better time to take stock of the last 10 years and make plans for the upcoming year (or years!) ahead. Easier said than done!

Mindfulness is all the rage, and there’s good reason for it: most of us are simply existing, barely getting through the hours and days, and hardly living them. Instead of rushing from one task to the next as we move through our to do list, why not take a moment to simply be? Isn’t it time we take a deep breath and pay attention to the sights, sounds and beauty that surrounds us?
In order to do this successfully, we need to start from the inside. Before we can properly connect with our surroundings, we must learn to connect with ourselves. We need to be willing to face our fears, listen to our own voice and acknowledge what matters to us. When we can be more present for ourselves, we can then in turn be more present for our loved ones.
