Political leaders from all over the country rushed to Kansas in hopes of making it either a slave state or a free state. In the end, Kansas became a free state and after the civil war there were many black colonies established throughout the state.

Since this Old Map of Kansas was printed in 1846 this map illustrates a critical point in the history of the state. This map is a great gift for all those native Kansans and history lovers.
